White-Spotted Slimy Salamander
White-Spotted Slimy Salamander (Plethodon cylindraceus) Virginia. This is one of four or five local salamanders that are easy to find. These guys seem to hunt on the forest floor. I don't "flip" logs and rocks when looking for sallies since this disturbs them and can injure them.
