Hidden under this lovely arrangement of leaves, web, and detritus is a caterpillar-like caseworm. The tiny fragments at the top were placed there when he was smaller and he expanded the size of the case as he grew.
Another photo where a lot is going on. The eggs belong to an undetermined species of Fulgorid hopper. Look closely to see some white grub-like creatures which seem to be emerging from the yellow egg mass. These are nymphs. There are also some large black objects. I believe these are nymphs that emerged earlier, and one is a discarded exuvia. There are also some tiny black ants. I've no idea what they are doing, but it would not surprise me if their presence somehow benefits the Fulgorids. This egg mass may belong to the amazing "peanut hopper."
