I found this in Taman Negara and she squared up nicely and allowed this photo. A fuzzy body is unusual in ants and produces a lovely color.
There seem to be a good number of mantid species in peninsular Malaysia. This one has the most interesting eyes of those I've found.
Trilobites are one of the coolest beetles on the planet (IMHO). This is a female and she will remain in the nymph form for her entire life (no wongs). The adult male apparently resembles a netwing beetle.
