Haemadipsa picta suspected. Leeches are pretty common in wet areas in SE Asian forests. They are mostly a nuisance because the tiny and painless puncture they make continues to bleed for a day or so. They are easy to remove -- just place a couple of grains of salt on them and they fall off. I found that gaffer tape works really well to seal the wound. You read it here first...
