Spiders
Spined orb weaver -- probably Gasteracantha diardi. Spined orb weavers are amazingly beautiful and often seem to be brightly colored.
These are large -- about 1.5" or 40mm from toe to toe.

Crab spider (camaricus maugi) Penninsular Malaysia.
Another lovely huntsman spider (Sparassidae) at the National Park (Taman Negara) east of KL. These are large, nocturnal predators and they seem to lie in wait on branches or tree trunks for anything they can grab. Quite harmless to humans. I think.
I found this spiny orb weaver (Gasteracantha) in central Florida at the Circle B. ranch. Orb weavers have unattractive faces (not shown) with beady little eyes. But their glorious rear ends are another matter...
Crab spider (Thomisidae) with locust borer prey. This crab spider was very large and was the first I'd seen. The poor wretch he has over for dinner is a locust borer. Found in the SNP in Virginia.

Jumping spider (salticidae). I love the color of dock leaves in the fall, and this little jumper built his lair among them. Hard to resist!
Sparassidae, genus Caayguara suspected. One of many extraordinary spiders I found a couple of hours from Iquitos.
I found several of these lynx spiders (Oxyopidae) on a 2019 visit to Archbold Research Station in Florida. They are very handsome, calm, and easy to photograph.
Malaysian penninsular. You did not know there were blue spiders?! Neither did I!
Huntsman spider (Sparassidae) Malaysian peninsular. These can be large -- about 5" from toe to toe and are commonly known as "lichen spiders".

This lichen huntsman (Sparassidae) was extremely calm and allowed me to get as close as my camera allowed in order to get this portrait.

This large huntsman spider (Sparassidae) allowed me to belly up to her tree and get this close-in shot from below. By large I mean about 2.5" from toe to toe

Ant mimic jumping spider, Singapore.
Ant mimic jumping spider (Salticidae,) with katydid prey. It is difficult to find ant-mimic spiders and this is a particularly lovely one. Unfortunately, the katydid in his mouth sorta ruins his image -- but there you are.
